Garmin Vivosport

  Garmin Vívosport:

that device plus a color display and GPS so it's really a product for somebody that desires to run and cycle and walk then want to map those activities and they want an activity band as opposed to a GPS watch so it also does a bunch of other things and we're going to cover those in this article let's get to it.Buy now

Price:

okay so first up the Vivosport retails are $200 at first glance that sounds pretty expensive like I actually do think it's a little bit high but after testing this device I'm kind of finding ways to justify it because I'm thinking maybe I'm gonna spend $150 on the device but doesn't have GPS maybe $200 isn't so bad and you know the price is gonna come down in the future that's what always happens with Garmin devices.

This thing is three things mostly so first up it's an activity and sleep tracker Garmin is really good at this stuff it's also like a GPS watch because it obviously has GPS built-in and then it's a semi SmartWatch with a few SmartWatch capabilities we're gonna cover all of those things in a little bit more.

Design:

So this is gonna look just like the vivosmart 3 it's super sleek and it's lightweight and you hardly even notice it's on your wrist like it's very comfortable more so than just about any activity tracker I've ever tried and that's saying a lot because I've tested a lot of activity trackers Plus and has the added benefit of being like really really lightweight so when you're running with it or cycling with it or walking with it you're able to keep it in that perfect position to have better heart rate data. So I actually really like the design of its sleek lightweight and very comfortable it also is totally water-resistant and will be just fine for swimming. Though it doesn't support swimming as an actual sport it has an always-on touchscreen display that works great it's the full color it is backlit but the screen actually seems a little bit small. if I'm being honest when I would look down at my wrist I would and I'm pretty dang good eyesight I kept thinking myself wow that's really small like the information on there is small. so I wish somehow they would have been able to make that display a little bit larger in any case it is really easy to use the software on this thing is super easy to understand. and I really haven't any complaints in terms of usability aside from that perhaps once you take a shower otherwise you go swimming or something can't actually use the touchscreen display the water kind of gets in the way it does have a built-in wrist heart rate monitor on the underside that heart rate sensor is gonna work great for running actually very good for running like I said because you can get it in that perfect position and doesn't move around a lot it's gonna be great for all-day use and walking and cycling but when you take it to do strength training or CrossFit just like any other wrist heart rate monitor you're gonna see kind of the day to urge a touch bit tousled. and it's not gonna be reliable for those activities just a limit to the technology unfortunately though you cannot pair this device at least to my knowledge with an external sensor so you've got to use the one that's built-in still it's better than nothing better than simply counting on your general movement to measure your effort level for strength training CrossFit high-intensity training all of that stuff so that's most of the design stuff that you need to know about.

Activity and Sleep tracking:

Activity and Sleep tracking:

You've probably heard this a million times it's gonna track your all-day steps, calories burned, distance traveled, heart rate and tensity minutes floors climbed I believe even those, and then all that information goes to be stored within the Garmin Connect Mobile app. and they even have an internet portal also it is a specialized application, not the simplest one out there but i feel if you finish up getting this device you will be proud of the software that you're going to be using. It also has a daily goal by default. it is stepping but you can change it to I believe distance or calories and I actually think they do a good job of keeping you accountable with your daily goal because that goal automatically adjusts supported your prior activity level. So that's nice to possess they even have move reminders and a move bar for when you're being lazy. It also now tracks your stress levels. So that's something i think they introduced with the vivosmart 3 and essentially it's getting to interpret your pulse in your effort and every one these things throughout the day and it's getting to tell you ways stressed you're throughout the day. It's kind of cool I don't actually know what to do with the data but I'm thinking that this guy is going to want to track our stress in the future.

Sports tracking:

It's getting to track walking, running, cycling, the stair stepper, strength training, and cardio is more or less a catch-all except for the foremost part for tons of individuals out there you will be ready to do your activity with this band plus for cycling and running you'll roll in the hay indoor and outdoor so. And yes it does have the GPS that I've talked about before so you're gonna be ready to map otherwise you actually ran or did that bike ride which is pretty cool now something that's new this device is that it's live tracking. So you'll set it up to where as soon as you're doing an activity you go running or cycling it'll automatically send an email to whoever you designate then they will see how you're doing on a map so it's sort of a feature maybe they need to observe you are doing a marathon you really have live tracking now with the vivosport and also your vo2 max so it's gonna estimate your vo2 max which is pretty cool because that's a very good gauge of your overall fitness level. and that they have the fitness age barometer within the app. That tells you ways you're doing relative to your age cohort which I actually like having I feel it's pretty calm could also be a touch buried within the app but it's cool if you'll actually get in there and see how you're doing relative to everybody else that's your age also for all of the sports. I found most of the info to be pretty acceptable like GPS seems to be pretty good Garmin tends to estimate a touch bit low but generally, I used to be pretty proud of it and that i adore having the guts rate sensor the one thing is for strength training that was introduced on the vivosmart 3 and that I just didn't think it had been perfect then and it's still not perfect. Now it's supposedly getting to automatically track your reps sets some time then determine what sort of activity you're doing unfortunately I found that it is not usually correct and it isn't something that I'm gonna believe. and that I just don't think anybody's gonna get this device and really love the strength training feature so it's it you'll want to undertake it out but it isn't a reason you're gonna get the ViVOSport.

 Smart features:

You've probably heard all of this before it relays all of your smart phone incoming notifications so you will see those on your wrist text messages, calendar, reminders, Gmail alerts all of that stuff you will be ready to preview those on your wrist granted it is a really small screen so you'll barely preview the message which type of stinks but a minimum of you'll get those alerts so if somebody's gonna call you you'll see them right your wrist can't really do anything from there but you'll a minimum of get those notifications additionally you'll see the weather for the remainder of the week that's nice to possess.

It also features a find my phone feature so basically you hit it and it's gonna make your phone ring. I've seen this before and tons of other Garmin devices and now a find my watch feature so you'll actually find your ViVOsport if you break down.

Now in terms of battery life, they assert it's gonna be up to seven days on one charge on behalf of me it had been like four to 5 days counting on how active you're I'm pretty active I used it a day for understanding or for a very long walk or something like that for cycling and that I was getting about four maybe five days then it might die on me. it isn't great it isn't bad just note that you are not gonna probably get those full seven days of battery life out of it in order that is that the garmin vivosmart i feel it's pretty cool like I said i feel $200 may be a little high but if somebody wants GPS and that they want an activity band and not a GPS watch this is often one among the higher options out there and that i adore it in terms of design.

It's comfortable i prefer I'm within the colour display it's really sleek I just think it's a specialized device didn't totally knock it out of the park it isn't something completely new but it's going to be right for you write me down below within the comments with what you think that. Buy now
